Craig Neal, originator of the Art of Convening and co-founder of Heartland, is offering a one-day Graduate Intensive Workshop. Workshops will be held September 10 in the Bay Area, California and October 3 in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. The Graduate Intensive Workshop is based on new material, practices and processes from Craig's upcoming book, The Art of Convening: 9 Ways to Transform your Meetings, Gatherings and Conversations.

What Will We Do?
The curriculum reveals the 9 aspects (circles) of the inner and outer factors the Convener must consider in designing and executing any engagement. The 9 circles form a wheel or sequential path the Convener follows, starting with "Getting to the Heart of the Matter" and continuing to "Commitment to Action."

• Learn the 9 principles of the wheel and corresponding 6 questions that give you the theoretical background and practical knowledge for using the convener wheel in your life and practice.

• Experience new practices and processes including
  • Council Process
  • The 4 Questions Exercise
  • Design Elements Checklist
    
    
• Deepen your practice with Stringing the Beads and working with Transitions.

• Receive a written materials including the Convener Wheel diagram and each of the 9 Design Elements.

• A light breakfast and lunch are included along with break snacks.

Who is the Intensive for?
It is for those who have completed the AoC 6-month Core TeleTraining and wish to expand and deepen their practice, knowledge and capacity for convening. Limit of 20 Grads per group.

AoC Graduate Intensive Workshop & Thought Leader Gathering Together

We have timed the Intensive Workshops to coincide with a Thought Leader Gathering (TLG) the Friday morning before. The TLGs demonstrate the essence of the AoC theory and practice in a half-day gathering of leaders. We highly recommend, but do not require the workshop participants to attend. However, we are offering a "Package" rate as encouragement to workshop participants who would like to attend the TLG.

Once registered you will receive handouts and journaling assignments to be completed before the workshop day. Other materials will be distributed the day-of. REGISTER
